The Plain and Unnoticeable me is no More!! Chapter 1, Part 1.

Jimi de Medatanai Watashi wa, Kyou de Owari ni Shimasu!! Chapter 1:

"The Academy's Anniversary Party is also the Place of Judgement"
[Part 1]

Elaine Lana Norris is the daughter of the Duke who holds the title of Defence Minister of the Kingdom of Wylingham, and whose mother is a princess from the neighboring Kingdom of Alford; thus making her the best that could exist within the same aristocracy. But despite being born to these parents, during her school's anniversary party, she is suddenly thrown to the ground. And, from the center of the room, the cry declaring the end of their engagement was heard.

"Elaine Norris! Here and now, I announce the end of our engagement! All the reports of the vile acts you committed against my precious Sandra have come to my ears! Because you were too ordinary, you chased Sandra from the shadows and did all sorts of bad things to her! Not only are you ugly on the outside, but your heart is ugly too! Because Sandra is a person with a kind heart, she pleaded for me not to blame you, but my patience has reached its limit!"

Next to my fiancé, his highness Prince Frederick, she stood, the girl who was granted special permission to transfer to out academy not more than a year ago, and who was prophesied to be a Saint. But, from my point of view, she wasn't a Saint or anything like that.
Sixteen years ago, on a starry sky night, the High Priest of the Great Temple prophesied a great event.

"Soon, a Saint will be born in this country! The Saint power won't be revealed until their fifteen or sixteen birthday. This person will possess a sacred power, which will be able to save the people of this country!"

In the Great Temple, lies an old book that tells of the miracles performed by a Saint who had appeared in some country a long time ago, and thanks to the King and his followers, the whole world believed in this prophecy and waited patiently for the Saint to finally appear.
And then one day, fifteen years after that event, the High Priest appeared at the palace gates, saying: "This girl is the reincarnation of the Saint!"

She was just a girl who used to walk around the palace all the time. But, being someone of great beauty, she was immediately called a Holy Woman.
That girl's name is Sandra. A commoner who couldn't even attend an ordinary school.

A year has passed since then, and no matter how much the people waited, the holy power she was supposed to possed was yet to present. And now, it wasn't long before Sandra's sixteen birthday. This being the main reason as to why the adults began to suspect whenever all this was just a mistake. But all the princes sided with her, insisting that although the power was not yet present, she was undoubtedly the Saint of the prophecy.
So far, no one has realized that the words of the prophet were never that "there would be a Saint". But what he said was: "The reincarnation of a Saint will be born". And in essence, now that she has been reborn, in my opinion, she is now just an ordinary person. Moreover, it is impossible to know whenever his words were true or not; and if there were not, it is difficult to blame the prophet himself. Being that it is more than impossible to prove if one person is the reincarnation of another.

The prophet, shortly after he discovered the Saint, received twenty gold coins as a reward and disappeared from the country.

According to the textbooks, a true Saint is one who can purify demons and also has incredible healing power. But for me, it is more than foolish to believe that such a sacred person can exist.

Sandra, being a simple commoner, was cruelly criticized by the girls of high society. But apart from that, no one has committed any vulgar acts against her. And I, although I don't stand out much, am the leader of the aristocratic girls inside the school. And every time they planned to do something bad to Sandra, I was there to talk to them and make them see reason. And yet, somehow, in their minds, it was me who has committed an atrocious act.
Inside the center of the dancing hall, right behind me, those same aristocratic girls stood while looking down on both Sandra and his highness Prince Frederick, wanting to defend me from them.

I may not be entirely loved by the male community, but I was happy to have the support of the female community.

"Girls, please don't do this. I'll be fine. Besides, we can't let something like this completely ruin our precious academy's anniversary party. Your highness Frederick, we'd better go somewhere else. I don't think this is the right place or the right time to break off the engagement, especially in front of all these people."

My proposal was just for us to move to another room so that we could talk more quietly, but without any reason Sandra stood right in front of his highness the prince as if trying to protect him, showing tears in her eyes as if she had been severely criticized.

Today she found herself dressing so extravagantly that she could even be mistaken for a princess of this kingdom, but in turn, that was not the right dress for a school event.
The dress she was wearing was a first-class piece of clothing. Luxurious dress made of the finest silk fabrics, which were completely out of reach for a commoner, and designed by a fashion designer and made by a tailor of the royal family. And for some reason, on Sandra's head lay that tiara that was supposed to be mine. In addition to large and heavy ruby and diamond earrings, which contrast perfectly with the necklace that decorated her neck, giving her an even more shiny image.

"You're terrible! Saying something like that to Frederick in front of all these people, are you trying to make fun of the prince?"

"I'm not making fun of him. You're the one who's giving my words a different meaning. Besides, how can you address His Highness the prince in such a manner in front of all this crowd? ... I can tell you are not aware of the situation."

No matter how much of a Saint or whatever she is, calling his highness the prince without any respect is more than unforgivable. And the moment I pointed out her lack of common sense, it was now the prince who stood before her and defend her.

"Shut up, elaine! It was me who permitted Sandra to call me by my name, so you have no right to scold her! Is that how you usually talk to Sandra, with words full of poison? Poor Sandra has reported every one of your horrible acts against her, and it's more than admirable that she has decided not to blame you for anything, Elaine. And the only good thing that came out of this was that your attacks got to a higher degree, that now, even your ruffians, have decided to reveal themselves against you!  So now, in front of all this crowd, we'll mention everything you've done so far. Sandra, now that I'm by your side, you can use this opportunity to expose this woman's misdeeds."

What are you talking about? I didn't do anything. They keep abusing me for things I don't remember at all, and all I can do is to listen to their arguments in a dazed state.
Sandra was hiding behind Frederick, clinging to his arm and shaking like a helpless puppy as she began to relate the harassment she said I had committed against her.
